About the Huipils are woven on a back-strap, pre-hispanic type of loom while some are woven on the larger treadle loom without the use of electricity. Each huipil has a special pattern associated with a particular village and when a woman wears a huipil into town others can typically identify where she is from. Taking the title as the most commonly worn female indigenous garment
